Wissam Charaf
Wissam Charaf was born in Beirut. His short film Unforgettable Memory of a Friend (2018) was awarded a Special Jury Prize at the 2019 Clermont-Ferrand Festival. His first fiction feature film, Heaven Sent (2016), was included in the ACID selection at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. His second fiction feature, Dirty Difficult Dangerous, opened the Giornate degli Autori section at the 2022 Venice Film Festival, where it won the Europa Cinema Award. The film also won an award at the 2023 Palm Springs Film Festival.
