Talk

Birger is old and retired. And with nothing better to do, he keeps going back to work, to everyone else’s dismay. He tries to beat his loneliness by talking to people on buses or in the cafeteria, but no one understands him. An unexpected visit finally seems like a good chance to talk.

Lukas Moodysson

Lukas Moodysson (b. 1969, Sweden) published his first collection of poems at 17, followed by several more collections and a novel. Then he shifted his attention to film and graduated from Stockholm’s Dramatiska Institutet. His short film Bara prata lite (Talk, 1997) was followed by the scripted feature Fucking Åmål (Show me Love, 1998), a hit with Swedish audiences and international festivals alike. His other films include Tillsammans (Together, 2000), Lilya 4-ever (2002), A Hole in My Heart, the documentary Terrorists (2003) and the scripted feature Container (2006).
