Alexandre Dostie
Born in rural Quebec, Alexandre Dostie is a self-taught artist, poet, punk singer, and filmmaker. His first short narrative film, Mutants (2016), was screened at more than a hundred festivals, including the 2020 Prague Short Film Festival, and won numerous awards, including Best Canadian Short at TIFF. I’ll End Up in Jail (2019), his latest offering, has already screened at TIFF, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, and Tampere. The film was named Best International Short Film by the Vimeo programming team at their unofficial Sundance jury awards. Alexandre is currently working on his debut feature, Shape.
