Moly Kane
Moly Kane was born in Pikine (Dakar, Senegal). He studied audiovisual writing in Senegal and then took part in a short program at the Fémis. He founded the Ciné Banlieue festival in his hometown. He was also granted the title of Knight of Senegal’s Ordre national du Mérite. In 2016, he graduated from the University of the West Indies and Guyana of Martinique, where he majored in art and culture. In 2011, he directed his first short film, Moly (2011), which was selected for Cannes Classics 2011. His third short, Sër Bi (2020), premiered at TIFF.
