Duds

Austrian Alps. Josef, Josef, Josef, Josef and Josef are stuck cutting wood. A farmer’s daughter, who wants to escape her abusive father, talks the five Josefs into helping her. The plot fails and thwarts their hopes for an early departure.

Thomas Woschitz was born in Austria and studied film in Rome. He works as a director and film editor in Vienna and Rome. He has made a number of experimental short films, including The Josef Trilogy: People’s Pockets and Bleeding Nose (1995), Duds (1996) and Girls and Cars (2004).
