The National Competition Best Film Award goes to Vinland, Tomáš Starý received a special mention for his performance in Rituals

Vinland, a suspenseful thriller about Eastern European workers in the Czech Republic directed by Martin Kuba, wins the Best Film Award in the National Competition section of the 17th Pragueshorts Film Festival. 

The winner of the national competition was decided by a jury including filmmaker Cristina Grosan, editor Jaroslaw Kaminski and consultant and creative advisor Wim Vanacker. 

The jury also awarded a Special Mention to Tomáš Starý, who plays the lead role in Rites by Damián Vondrášek.
