The LABO Award Goes To Hlynur Pálmason's Nest
Icelandic director Hlynur Pálmason's Nest is the winner of the LABO section, dedicated to presenting fresh and innovative approaches to both form and content.
The award was given to the film by a jury including poet and publicist Jonáš Zbořil, illustrator Tereza Šiklová and musician and composer Filip Míšek.
"In a small space and in a short time, Nest manages to tell a story of childhood, parenthood and deep time," the jury said in its statement.
Nest will be screened on Saturday, 4 March at 6pm in the Světozor cinema at the screening of the LABO section. It will also be available 5 to 18 March at KVIFF.TV, where the online part of the 17th Pragueshorts festival takes place.
