Switched Shifts wins the National Competition
The main prize for Best Film in the National Competition and a financial reward in the amount of 2,000 euros goes to director Luboš Kučera’s Switched Shifts. The jury – Stefan Arsenijević, Tristan Priimägi, and Ľubica Orechovská – appreciated in particular the fact that the film “masterfully controls the rhythm, tone and dialogue, and engages us with a captivating female character surrounded by a support cast of crazy men. The film deals with social topics in s surprising way, with humor and heart.” Honorable mention went to director Tomasz Wiński’s George the Dog, Refugee, which the jury called “an absurd and playful, psychologically complex ensemble drama about desire and abuse of power.” Congratulations!
