Introducing the juries for the 15th Pragueshorts Film Festival!
The jury for the International Competition will award a prize for Best Film, which includes a financial reward in the amount of 2,000 euros, and may also award up to two Honorable Mentions. This year’s jury includes Jana Vlčková, an award-winning (two Czech Lions) editor of documentary and feature films; Diana Mereoiu, curator and member of the selection team at Vienna Shorts, a qualifying festival for the Academy Awards® (Oscars), the European Film Awards, and the British BAFTA Awards; and Icelandic artist/director Katrín Ólafsdóttir.
The jury for the National Competition includes Belgrade-based director and screenwriter Stefan Arsenijević, whose short films have earned him more than thirty national and international awards, including the Golden Bear at the Berlinale, European Film Awards, and an Oscar nomination; Tristan Priimägi, Estonian journalist and editor of the film section at the cultural weekly Sirp, and Slovak producer and distribution manager Ľubica Orechovská. The jury will vote on a prize for Best Film (2,000 euros) and may also award an Honorable Mention.
