Eliška Křenková

After graduating from a dance conservatory, Eliška Křenková went on to study acting at DAMU in Prague. She first appeared in front of a camera in 2006 in the film The Rafters, but her first greater acting opportunities were in Angels (2014) and Family Film (2015). She earned much attention from critics and audiences alike for her portrayal of the sister of a missing girl in the award-winning miniseries Wasteland (2016), and later also for her role as a hitchhiker in Winter Flies (2018), which led to her first nomination (and win) for a Czech Lion. This was followed by a number of Czech and foreign series and especially more distinctive roles in film, including A Certain Kind of Silence (2019), Princess Cursed in Time (2019), Two Ships (2021), Bird Atlas (2021), and most recently as the protagonist of We Have Never Been Modern (2023), for which she received her fifth nomination for a Czech Lion award.
