Amanda Kernell

Amanda Kernell (1986, Umeå, Sweden) studied playwriting and audio-visual media at Biskops-Arnö and completed Screenwriting for low-budget feature films at Filmpool Nord. In 2009, she was accepted to the prestigious four-year film directing program at the National Film School of Denmark.
Since 2006, she has directed several acclaimed shorts for the production company Direktörn & Fabrikörn, including Semestersystern (My Summer Holiday Sister), winner of best short film award at the 2009 BUFF children and young adult film festival, and Att dela allt (Sharing All) winner of the 1 km Film Award the same year.
