A man has a problem with ironing – whenever he sees something white, he reaches for the iron. He can’t help himself, he’s obsessed. He is awkward and conflicted. But this defender of the weak is trying to tell us something.

Hiroyuki Nakano

Hiroyuki Nakano (1958, Hiroshima) is recognized for his music videos and peaceful imagery. After working for a TV company for five years, he started his own company, “Tyrell Corporation”. His video installations have been shown from Brazil to France. In 1993, he started Peacadelic and since then has been searching for images evoking the feeling of peace in viewers. His first film,Samurai Fiction (1998), has received several awards. His following films including Stereo Future and Red Shadow, Short Films sealed his reputation of great filmmaker. He directs films, music videos, commercials and focuses on natural imagery and art.
