A mother takes her seven-year-old daughter to school. She’s going on a field trip with her class today. But this everyday situation doesn’t seem at all ordinary for the mother.

Jochem De Vries

Jochem de Vries (1979, Netherlands) graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2004. He made several experimental and documentary films during his school years. After graduating, he enrolled in a screenwriting workshop at the Amsterdam Script School and made a couple of short films with NFI Productions. In 2007 and 2008 he attended a Masterclass at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Poland where he developed a 120-minutes screenplay for his first feature film. His latest short film, Missing (2009), was nominated for a Golden Palm at Cannes and won several awards at other film festivals.
