Paddy Considine

Paddy Considine (b. 1974, UK) studied acting at Burton College and photography at the University of Brighton. He made his living as a photographer until 1999, when his friend Shane Meadows cast him in his film A Room For Romeo Brass and started his acting career. Roles in films such as Last Resort (dir. Pawel Pawlikowski, 2000), 24 Hour Party People (dir. Michael Winterbottom, 2002), In America (dir. Jim Sheridan, 2002), Dead Man’s Shoes (dir. Shane Meadows, 2004) or Cinderella Man (dir. Ron Howard, 2005) quickly propelled him among the most respected UK actors. Dog Altogether (2007) is Paddy Considine’s first film and winner of the Silver Bear at this year’s Venice Festival.
